Inventory

As we approached the 2021 FRC season and things started kicking in the high gear, we received a large donation of FRC robot parts from veteran team #7445 (Garage Robotics). Some of the team’s donated parts included Mecanum wheels, RoboRIOs, and Neo 1650s. Upon receiving these parts, we decided we should organize and document all of our new/old materials and robot components. We categorized all of our materials into compartments: electrical components, mechanical components, motors, pneumatics, and fragile materials.

Of course with the ongoing pandemic, we took safety precautions when meeting up in person to do inventory. We split our team into small groups of 3 to 4 and had designated time slots for each group. In the garage, we wore gloves and masks while maintaining a safe distance between each other. Within 3 days, we were able to organize an inventory of parts into boxes and a spreadsheet.
