Thank You Team #7445 Garage Robotics!

As a rookie team, one of the biggest challenges we faced was the upfront cost of buying new parts: motors, motor controllers, sensors, wheels, and more can keep adding up into the thousands of dollars—becoming quite unaffordable! As a result, in the 2020 build season, our robot design was significantly limited by our lack of parts.

However, as the season was unfortunately cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a stroke of luck seemed to turn things around for us. Veteran FRC team #7445 Garage Robotics was retiring this year, and in their last act, they donated nearly the entirety of their inventory to us! This is a huge boon, as we now have so many more parts to enhance our robot, and we can preserve our team’s finances. We are so grateful for team Garage Robotics’s kindness, and we will do our best with the support they’ve given us!
